Evidence-Based Relational Training Developed at UCLA

Navigating friendships and social play doesn't always come naturally to young children—and that is completely okay. I offer UCLA PEERS® for Preschoolers, an internationally recognized, research-backed program designed to give children and parents concrete, practical tools to build meaningful friendships, navigate playmates, and handle big social emotions with confidence.

We offer two flexible pathways so you can choose the format that best fits your family’s lifestyle and needs:

Pathway 1: PEERS® Integrated Group

(Parent & Child Combined)

  • Best For: Children (ages 4–6) who thrive with hands-on practice among peers alongside direct parent involvement.

  • How It Works: While your child participates in engaging, structured social lessons, role-plays, and play activities with peers, parents meet in a parallel group to learn matching "social coaching" strategies.

  • Format & Duration: 16 weekly, 90-minute in-person sessions. Strictly capped at 4 children per cohort to ensure a safe, supportive environment with personalized focus for every child.

Pathway 2: PEERS® Parent-Only Social Coaching Group

(Parent Training Cohort)

  • Best For: Parents who want step-by-step tools to guide their child at home, on playdates, and at school—without requiring their child to attend weekly clinic visits.

  • How It Works: You’ll learn practical strategies to troubleshoot playdates, handle bossiness or rejection, teach conversational turns, and support your child's growth in real time.

  • Format & Duration: 16 Weekly 90 minute Telehealth sessions. Capped at 10 families per cohort to keep discussions interactive, intimate, and collaborative.

What You & Your Child Will Cultivate Together

  • Joining Play & Making Connections: Learning how to enter playgroups smoothly, greet friends, and share space.

  • Sharing & Turn-Taking: Developing patience, sharing toys, and working through social frustration smoothly.

  • Good Sportsmanship: Playing fairly, celebrating others, and keeping cool when games don't go as planned.

  • Gentle Social Coaching at Home: Empowering parents to support real-world social success without micromanaging.
